About me

“Fast forward 5 years working on set, trading work for food, and a Hinge date that would ultimately change the trajectory of my life and here we are.”

My story, like so many good ones, starts at a bar…

Laid off and in search of some work during the COVID-19 pandemic, I began bartending in my hometown. I put my business degree to good use by helping to plan events and managing the social media pages. Part of those responsibilities included photographing the events, as well as food & drinks.

Realizing I liked shooting the drinks more than I liked making the drinks, I thought “why not try doing this for other people too?”. So I partnered with a friend from high school in search of other photo opportunities.

We worked. We searched. We FINALLY convinced someone to hire us for a gig. We planned and prepped and when shoot day came, we took some of the worst photos imaginable…

…but we got better. And little by little I realized how much I loved the process of learning & improving. I learned through experience, assisting accomplished & veteran photographers, and watching YouTube videos until my screens caught fire.

Fast forward 5 years of working all kinds of jobs on commercial sets, trading photography work for food & drinks, and a Hinge date that would ultimately change the trajectory of my life, and here we are.

I’ve shot on 4 different continents with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies, to yoga retreats in Central America. From 6-figure budget shoots in downtown high-rises, to work exchanges that left me stranded in the Namib desert…I’ve seen it all.

I’m painfully aware of how lucky I am to be doing this. And so I treat every shoot like it’s my last. I aim to make every shoot a fun and memorable experience, walking away with footage that not only looks amazing, but was pretty damn fun to make.
